In a nutshell...
Ampang is a high class residential area mainly populated by the foreign expatriates. Divided into various subsections: Ampang Indah, Ampang Mewah, Ampang Permai and Ampang Jaya, this is a neighborhood that houses a few housing estates: Taman Dagang, Taman Cahaya, Taman Cempaka, Pandan Jaya and Pandan Indah at some of its best locations. Exclusive condos encircle this area with its lavish settings and surroundings: Tiara Condo, East Side One Ampang Avenue, Condo Villa Aman and Villa Ampang to name a few.

Whereabouts...
Situated at the east of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Jalan Ampang which is the main road of Ampang, is easily accessible from Jalan Tun Razak or Jalan Ulu Kelang if you're heading from Hulu Kelang or Setapak. Wangsa Maju, Setapak, KL and Salak Selatan surround Ampang and is within a close distance.

Tastebuds...
Craving for some Korean food? Then, you are lucky as there are plenty of Korean restaurants residing in the town of Ampang. For a lavish dinner, dine in Victoria Station, located just opposite Sucasa Service Apartment along Jalan Ampang. Victoria Station is famous with its charbroiled steaks, which are not to be missed. With a wide selection, including U.S. Rib-eyes, U.S. Prime Ribs, U.S. Sirloins, U.S. T'Bones, U.S. Spare Ribs and many others, be prepared for a hearty meal with generous portions. If one fancies a mix of local and western delicacies, Alexis Ampang Bistro & Bar in Great Eastern Mall is the place to be. With great food accompanied by great music (usually Jazz), it's a great place not to be missed out. Sometimes, there will be performances by local actors and singers.

Leisure & Entertainment...
For the artistic and aesthetic lot, the National Art Gallery has much to offer as in creative and contemporary art pieces and sculptures. Located just next to the National Art Gallery is Istana Budaya, Malaysia's very own cultural center where performances and theaters are held. For the night revellers, Zouk and Velvet Underground are the perfect place for clubbing, dining and drinking. For animal lovers, the National Zoo is not faraway and is one of the best attractions in town.

Shop all day long-you might like the idea of hopping from a huge mall to the other gigantic hypermart as long as you're still fit and loaded. Ampang Point, Plaza Ampang, Ampang Park, Ampwalk, City Square and Suria KLCC are all yours for you to shop till your hearts content. With new additions of shopping malls such as Great Eastern Mall and Avenue K, you can shop till you drop!

Other Facilities & Conveniences...
A whole stretch of embassies and high commissions converge along the mainroad: Cuba Embassy, Royal Thai Embassy, Zimbabwe High Commission, Japan Embassy and China Embassy. British High Commission, Britain Embassy, France Embassy, Korea Embassy, Sweden Embassy and Saudi Arabia Embassy are also located here. A fleet of colleges and international schools form an education hub in this place: Sayfol International School, KL International School, Mutiara International School and Fairview International School are choices you would consider before registering your child. Besides the ever popular international schools and embassies that can be found here, the best medical centres in the country such as Ampang Puteri Specialist Centre, Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, Pantai Indah Hospital and Hospital Ampang are sited here. Ampang also hosts the car showrooms of Opel, Porsche, Peugeot and Ssangyong.
